The following core members of the Electric Lamb Mission would like to inform you of their complete withdrawal of all support from the ELM.
The core values of the ELM included a non-aligned, non-prescriptive, non-sectarian approach towards the giving of aid that is urgently needed in Aceh. We worked within a transparent environment, that held as central values accountability, responsibility, communication and respect. Unfortunately, the Mission has been undermined by grave errors in leadership which we cannot condone, and which make it impossible for us to continue within this group. The duty of care towards volunteers has not been upheld, and key decisions have been made without accountability, consultation or transparency.
We would also like to point out that the volunteers that were, and still are on board the Batavia have all given themselves without failure. They all gave their support unconditionally to helping those in need, and some continue to do so. They deserve the deepest most heart felt gratitude, and should not be maligned in any way because of situations that have arisen. We salute them.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our supporters, both individual and organisational, for all their help. We empathise with your distress in this situation, and share your sadness. Please know that your contributions have gone directly to those who need it.
We will endeavour to communicate with you all personally, but please bear with us in this process, we will make sure you receive a personal explanation.
Please feel free to contact us at any time if you require any further information or clarification.

Pia Zain - pia.zain@gmail.comNOTE: It is intended that aid donations collected on behalf of the people of Yanchep and Two Rocks, Western Australia (who were previously referred to this website) will still be shipped to Sumatra for the benefit of tsunami survivors there. Should this not be possible, donations will be directed to any other region effected by the December 26 tsunami disaster.
